Have You Lived 10,000 Days?

By Linda VandeVrede on December 7th, 2007 In Weekend Reading

If you’re like me, Fridays are always welcome, because they mean that a break from regular PR duties is just a day away…or maybe you’re still new to PR (”kittens with new claws” is how one of my college professors used to describe people who were new to a skill, concept or profession) and you haven’t settled into a routine yet.

I happened to re-read an old classic, Wayne Dyer’s Your Erroneous Zones.    On page 129, a rhetorical question stopped me cold:

And you, dear reader, have you really lived 10,000 or more days or have you lived one day, 10,000 or more times?  A good question to ask yourself as you work toward more spontaneity in your life.

Great food for thought as we head into the weekend — what can I do differently today so that I’m not living the same PR day, over and over?
