Mingle and network with SPJ
You are invited to a reception to celebrate the Valley of the Sun SPJ’s 50 years at work to improve and protect journalism on Friday, November 21st.
The Board of the Valley of the Sun chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists invites the Arizona media community to join us at the chapter’s 50th anniversary reception, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the Lounge at the Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe.
The Lounge opens up to the lovely waterfall/reflecting pool patio overlooking Town Lake and the Tempe skyline – with two outdoor fireplaces. It’s a fabulous view. A two-man guitar combo will entertain. And the food is delicious.
Admission is free. The chapter, chartered in November 1958, will pay for the luscious appetizers. Drinks are on you. And we’ll give away a few prizes. SPJ itself will be 100 years old in 2009.
