Zuk captures Baer on social awareness
Nice interview with Jason Baer in this month’s issue of PR Tactics written by Valley PR pro Ryan Zuk. Love the lead: “More people have active Facebook profiles than watch “American Idol” each week.”
Baer is president of Convince & Convert, a social media consultancy to corporations and PR firms and he operates out of Flagstaff. The former Mighty Interactive brainchild has really established himself nationally and we’re lucky to have a national thought leader in our circle. Zuk for his part has recently been a regular contributor to PR Tactics. It’s great to see the locals getting national love!
Here’s a nugget from the interview that I thought was dead on:
Tweet“Getting involved with social media is the best way to learn how to use it, and virtually everyone in an organization needs to come on board to effectively implement it.”

Len -
Thank you for your support, and for the kind words. Even more thanks to Ryan for the interview. He asks great questions, and his PR Tactics work is a must read.
In the interest of clarity, I’m not really a “former” Mighty Interactive brainchild. While I work with other agencies and companies around the country as part of Convince & Convert, I am still involved with Mighty on a daily basis.
I continue to serve as Director of Strategy for Mighty and Off Madison Ave, working with the agency and our clients on stitching together marketing programs that are relevant to today’s changing consumer.
Cheers,
j

Len, thanks for noting and linking the “Social Awareness” PRSA Tactics article on Valley PR Blog! Yes, Jason sure knows his stuff and I expect we’ll be hearing more from and about him often. By the way, kudos to you and your blog team for an effective approach – sharing posting responsibilities, mixing in various expert perspectives, and just generally keeping on top of the PR scene.
