Would you review a book on Twitter?
Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff, analysts of the tech and market research firm Forrester have published a new book, Groundswell. Being quite visible in the blogosphere, they are asking bloggers to send in short reviews via Twitter. The book’s Facebook page, has some 148 fans
What does it say about us if we try to review things in 140 characters or less? Brevity, being the soul of wit, and all that is one thing? Or is this attempt at brevity an example of how some might be trying to survive the ‘attention crash’ being predicted?

Isn’t the purpose of Twitter to be brief? Shouldn’t the message fit the medium. I would imagine if I liked the short review I would seek out more detailed information and maybe other voices that influence me….say Amazon reviews. I don’t think a brief review is any indication that we are suffering from anything. What if the author was on TV for a 1 minute interview? Or I saw an ad for it in the NYT Book Review section. They are all channels designed to gain my attention.
