I’m presenting Wednesday at PRSA Luncheon

PRSA kindly invited me to speak about our experiences with Valley PR Blog at their monthly luncheon — this Wednesday at 11:30am.
I’ve titled the presentation “Everything You Wanted to Know About Social Media (But Felt Too Uncool to Ask).” If that seems like a lot for a half hour presentation, don’t worry, it won’t be. I just like Woody Allen. And, more importantly, I plan to keep it simple.
We’ve all heard the term “social media” get thrown around and many of us even know what it is. But nobody really tells you what to do with it! You’re expected to just intuitively know. That’s the “uncool” part - because few, if any of us, are early-adopting Silicon Valley tech heads. (Certainly not me). Nonetheless, our clients want us to work their favorite new buzzwords into a PR plan.
Well, I’ll attempt to separate some of the digital wheat from the Technorati chaff. I’ll be like Chaff Stik. That’s to say I do not plan to talk about me, then me some more, then attempt to sell you on the blog even though you already read it. I will, however, talk about some of the cool stuff we’ve observed here high up on Mt. Blog, walk through some social media categories and give some PR examples to get you thinking about “thinking about” incorporating these things as tactics for clients.
I hope to see you there. Here are the details:
“Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Social Media (But Felt Too Uncool to Ask)”
