Okay, someone explain to me the difference between “social media” and just plain media. PSAs, TV, radio, billboards, are media. Are blogs and Internet different? Or by social media, do we mean Myspace or Match? As for Myspace, I recommend all my clients have both a myspace and Youtube presence.

The short answer is that a social medium is one that (like the one you’re reading) you could interact with, voice your opinion and create your own version, communities etc. For a long, but very good explanation, check Robert Scoble’s post http://scobleizer.com/2007/02/16/what-is-social-media/
