PodCamp this weekend

By on October 31st, 2008 In Social Media

PodCamp AZ begins tomorrow. Last year, this was perhaps the most useful and best organized local networking event and trade show. It is run and attended by those in Phoenix making a difference in the social media space — people this blog highly respects.

From the organizers:

As always, registration and attendance is free, and the education and networking potential is priceless. Please keep in mind that this event is organized and run entirely by volunteers and sponsors so please purchase event t-shirts or donate to the event, all proceeds go
towards making this year’s PodCampAZ the best event possible.

As we’ve explained before, the focus of this year’s PodCamp AZ is all about finding relevancy in today’s available media outlets. The goal of our speaker sessions is to educate people on how traditional media such as print, television and radio can benefit from and branch out to
tap online media such as social networking, podcasts, streaming video, and web-based advertising and publishing. From marketing and entrepreneurial financing guru Francine Hardaway to online pop media icon iJustine, the range of talented and innovative speakers is both entertaining and extremely informative. You can also expect to hear from Evo Terra who published Podcasting for Dummies, the Ignite Phoenix group which aims to gather and motivate the Phoenix creative community, and countless other internet celebrities. Share the wealth and bring a friend to see how you can become a part of the fast moving world of online media!

Plan to attend both days, all day to soak up as much knowledge as you possibly can!

We can’t wait to meet you there!

See you November first and second

I’m sitting in a New Media/Old Media session at Podcamp AZ right now looking at the valley pr blog site on a projector with Evo and Francine.
Thanks for mentioning the event, Dan. For those who couldn’t make the 2008 edition look for the podcampaz 2009!
