Mead joins the blogging fray

By Len Gutman on February 25th, 2008 In Social Media

Slade MeadFormer Arizona State Senator and candidate for State Superintendent of Schools Slade Mead has launched a new political blog called The Dry Heat. The tagline says it’s “A blog about Arizona politics, public policy and politicians.”

Given Slade’s history in the state senate the blog should be very intriguing. Slade, who was a Republican when he served in the state senate, took a lot of heat from the far right for his pragmatic views and eventually lost his seat to a more radical righty (he who shall not be named).

Slade is a friend and an asset to the civic arena and I for one welcome his entry into the blogosphere. Let’s hope he doesn’t hold back.
