McCain’s lack of social media
I am struck by the McCain exploratory campaign’s lack of using of social media. It is especially striking, since Obama made his announcement earlier this month online, and Clinton’s use of something as simple as Yahoo Answers to get feedback. (She’s got over 34,000 answers as of today to a health care question).
The Explore McCain web site, is more like a brochure with a few links, and the older StraightTalk site, might as well be turned off; it hasn’t been updated since November 10th of last year. On YouTube, McCain shows up doing a few Barbara Streisand songs, which is hilarious. The competition however has plenty of campaign material.
