Ford’s Social Media Press Release
If you’ve ever wanted to convince a client or co-worker that this Social Media Press Release is not too technical to grasp, take a look at how Ford Motor Company has used it.
It has all the elements of a press release and more. Much, much more. Take a look at the six links at the top that convert what might otherwise be a plain doc into something that behaves like a micro-site. It has plenty of links to other parts of the company site, and is a visual treat (especially the three links to Flickr, a YouTube video, and a RSS feed.)
You could bet all these links are trackable too, so they know when people are accessing different parts of the content.
