Ford Fiesta Movement Selects Phoenix Team
Two local members of the creative community in the Valley have been selected as Fiesta Agents in Ford’s chapter two of the uber-successful Fiesta Movement. Sunny Thaper and Austin Baker are regulars over at Gangplank. Sunny is a production director at Forty and Austin heads up his own graphic design/marketing company, Box-seven Media. They were selected from more than 1,000 applications nationwide and they now have a chance to win Ford Fiestas, a compact car offering best-in-class highway fuel economy of 40 mpg and 15 class-exclusive technologies and personalization.
The original Fiesta Movement was a prime example of how businesses can leverage social media effectively. It generated more than 6.2 million YouTube views, more than 750,000 Flickr views and nearly 4 million Twitter impressions. More than 6,000 consumers have already made reservations for the Ford Fiesta – half of them from non-Ford customers – and more than 100,000 handraisers are showing an interest in the new fuel-efficient car.
In order for Team Phoenix to be successful, their missions must be successful and they have to cultivate a loyal fan base of followers. Sign up to follow Sunny and Austin here. They recently completed their first mission to identify the Valley’s 10 best “hot spots” and enlisted the help of an artist to create a mural depicting the hot spots. Check out the mural for yourself outside Joe’s Real BBQ in Gilbert, Ariz. (an image of the mural and a list of the hot spots are also posted on their team profile page).
To celebrate the completion of their first mission, they are hosting a free party that is open to the public this Friday (starts at 7 p.m. April 9) at Cartel Coffee Lab in Tempe. There will be free beer, wine and root beer, a live DJ, giveaways and more. RSVP by texting “PhxSpots” to 44144 and/or online at the link mentioned above. Good luck Team Phoenix!
