Brave New, Annoying Social Media (Or Why Aren’t You Blogging Yet?)

By on February 26th, 2008 In Social Media

A recent IABC survey indicates that many members read blogs, but less than half of us actually participate in them. We have good reasons to be “lurkers” and skeptics. But often it’s the technology hurdle that holds us back. “Trackbacks?” What’s that? Should your CEO blog? Are your press releases blog-ready? And what the heck is link spam?

Whether you’re a writer or responsible for content, and want to get a handle on social media, IABC Phoenix is offering a free session this week. Valley PR Blog’s Angelo Fernando, who has been blogging for more than three years, will present at IABC’s Writer’s Support Group on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 6-7 p.m. The free event is open to both IABC Phoenix members and non-members.
