Are You on the PR Banned List?
Good for Chris Anderson! The “Long Tail” author/blogger and Wired Editor in Chief is banning lazy PR people from his Inbox, even going so far as to publish a list of email addresses of offending flacks.
Anderson says:
I only want two kinds of email: those from people I know, and those from people who have taken the time to find out what I’m interested in and composed a note meant to appeal to that (I love those emails; indeed, that’s why my email address is public).
Any PR person having a hard time grasping that concept should find another line of work.

This is great, but maybe it’s time to turn the tables and have a banned list of the renegade bloggers, editors, and other “influencers” who have earned bad names for themselves.
