IABC Phoenix nabs five chapter management awards

The Phoenix chapter of IABC has won five awards for outstanding chapter management. IABC Phoenix won awards of excellence in the leadership development, professional development and financial management categories and awards of merit in the membership marketing and communication categories. The awards were announced at the 2008 Leadership Institute conference in San Antonio, Texas and represented the chapter’s 2006-07 accomplishments.

“I had a wonderful team of board members and volunteers that made this happen,” said Heidi Frei, president of IABC Phoenix for 2006-07. “Their enthusiasm for furthering the communications profession is admirable. They brought our members an international expert to speak about social media and topped off the year with our Copper Quill Awards program recognizing top communication campaigns, featuring a keynote speaker from Southwest Airlines.”

IABC President Julie Freeman, ABC, said, “This award recognizes IABC Phoenix’s dedicated team of volunteer leaders and members for their commitment towards promoting the goals and objectives of the organization at the local level.”
