How to explain PR to a 6-year-old

By Len Gutman on November 10th, 2009 In Best Practices

My old Helix High School pal David Moye offered up a classic post on the SoCalPRBlog Monday about explaining PR to his six-year-old daughter. He offers up this gem:

“PR is short for public relations. It basically means that, uh, I help people relate to the public.”

Seriously, I’m going to send this to my parents who still have no idea what I do for a living. If you read the whole post I think you’ll agree it’s actually a great little explanation!

The inspiration list grows again: SoCal joins Denver, Phoenix Ad Blog and #buzzcation. Maybe we should franchise, Len? ;)

This is perfect for my friends that somehow still think PR is another form of telemarketing. Thanks Len!

My old college prof said PR was “taking good things and telling people about them.” :-)
