Welcome Guest Blogger Kathy Sacks
Our esteemed colleague Linda VandeVrede is taking the summer off to chill in the cool temperatures of Payson and New Hampshire. So we thought we’d use the opportunity to invite a few people we admire to guest blog throughout the summer.
Our first guest blogger is none other than Kathy Sacks of Sacks PR. If you know Kathy you know she’s one of the brightest PR and Marketing minds in Arizona and we’re excited to have her join us for a bit. Here’s her bio so you can be officially introduced:
Welcome Guest Blogger Kathy SacksSacks PR was founded in March 2005 by Kathy Sacks. A former journalist, veteran marketer and proven entrepreneur, she is recognized as an experienced marketer with a uniquely hard-driving, aggressive approach to helping clients open new markets and boost market share.
Kathy has guided clients on a multitude of marketing and public relations matters–from company launches, to geographical expansion to litigation-and has established an extraordinary reputation with the media.
Her career in spans over a decade in communications, having served on all sides of the marketing, journalism and PR desk. Before starting her firm, Kathy served as the VP of Marketing and Communications for the Arizona Technology Council, Arizona’s largest technology association. There she helped build the Technology Council brand into an effective powerhouse and launched TechConnect magazine-Arizona’s first and only magazine of science and technology. Prior to that, Kathy served as Co-Owner, Editor-in-Chief and Brand Strategist for bizAZ magazine, one of the leading business magazines in Arizona. Under her leadership, bizAZ grew to become one of the most reputable and talked-about publications in the state. Publishing giant, Gannett Co., Inc. purchased bizAZ in 2005.
Her work in publishing has been widely recognized by business and community leaders, with Gov. Janet Napolitano having unveiled the premier issue of TechConnect. She currently serves as a founding editor and consultant to bizSanDiego, a magazine and online news source for the business community of San Diego County.
