Three local IABC members earn accreditation
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is currently celebrating Accreditation Month, and the IABC Phoenix chapter is recognizing three of its members—Heidi Frei, Danielle LeBlanc and Rachel Pearson—for recently earning the elite Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) designation.
Heidi Frei, director of marketing and membership with the Arizona Society of CPAs, has 15 years of experience in the field. Served as IABC Phoenix president (2006-07) and is currently in her second year as vice president of chapter relations for the IABC Southern Region board (2008-10).
Danielle LeBlanc, manager of marketing, communications and public relations with Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, has over 10 years of experience in the profession. Currently serves as the director of accreditation for IABC Phoenix.
Rachel Pearson oversees community relations and member communications as director of corporate communications at the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Since joining IABC in 2003, has served as IABC Phoenix president, executive vice president, vice president of finance, co-vice president of professional development and director of network night.
The select group of Accredited Business Communicators includes only 800 IABC members worldwide and 30 members in the Phoenix area, including yours truly. IABC’s accreditation program measures the strategic abilities and technical skills of public relations and communication professionals. The peer-reviewed program enables candidates to assess their approach against a global standard, and it is an integral part of IABC’s commitment to member development and the advancement of the profession.
Congratulations to Heidi, Danielle and Rachel!
