Southwest Graphics names Jacoby managing editor

Southwest Graphics has named Michelle Jacoby as its new managing editor. Jacoby will begin her tenure leading the 18-year-old magazine immediately.

Jacoby replaces previous editor Diana Kullman, who resigned to pursue other interests. Jacoby has been a professional writer and editor in the Phoenix metropolitan area for more than 15 years and has been involved with the development and launch of several magazines including Camelback, 85255, Arrowhead Life and Chandler Life, community lifestyle publications produced by Republic Magazines, the magazine division of The Arizona Republic.

As managing editor of Southwest Graphics, Jacoby will be responsible for content development and editorial direction for both the print publication as well as the magazine’s Web site.

Prior to joining Southwest Graphics, Jacoby was the editor of AZ, a Valley lifestyle magazine, and 85255, a north Scottsdale community publication. She has written features on home, design, fashion, travel and dining and has extensive experience in custom and niche publishing, serving as a project editor for The Arizona Republic’s Custom Publishing Group for 5 years. Her projects include AZ Style, Arizona Daytrips, At Home Week and New Homes Arizona. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Arizona State University.
