Former ‘Voice’ of IABC Hotline Vince Maietta Dies
It is with deep sadness I report this morning the passing of longtime IABC member and Valley communications pro Vince Maietta. Vince died of a stroke in July and we’ve just received word of his death from his sister in Pennsylvania.
For those of you who have been around the Valley PR community for a while, you might remember Vince as the golden-throated voice of the IABC job telephone hotline back in the day. Vince’s last communications job was in customer relations at Video Monitoring Service (VMS) and Arizona Clipping, where he helped provide so many of us with tapes and copies of our hits.

Will miss Vince. We worked out together at Beauvais’ gym on 8th Street in mid-90s, when he worked on Business Journal.
Real pros like him, and Perry Baker, will be missed in Phoenix. It is a shame no one was bright enough to use his talent while he was with us. Instead employers prefer hiring legal secretaries instead of pros like Vince and Perry. What has happened to PR in Phoenix?
