Cindy Kim to join JDA Software as marketing director
After 5 years at Lumension in Scottsdale as director of corporate communications, Cindy Kim is moving over to JDA Software Group, Inc. as their director of marketing. Job responsibillities will include overseeing the development and execution of marketing programs, including demand generation, PR, thought leadership campaigns, customer marketing, analyst relations, events, and social media, Her replacement at Lumension has not yet been announced.
I’ve been following both companies for a long time. Lumension started out originally as PatchLink, focusing on IT security solutions, and has followed what I think is a smart strategy of controlled growth going forward. JDA, which is in the supply chain management and merchandising industry sector, has also done well here in the Valley. Two good high-tech success stories for Arizona.

Thank you for the write-up. This will be quite a transition for me. While on the one hand I’m looking forward to my new venture, I’m sad to say goodbye to my Lumension family. Granted, today with most professionals we tend to spend more time with our co-workers than our own family but I had the best of both worlds – got to work alongside my husband and the best marketing team ever, not to mention a great boss Ed Brice. It’s been one of my toughest decisions ever – next to whether I should have a C-section or natural birth – but it all happens for a good reason and I’m excited at the prospect of tackling a new journey. Thank you my friend and have a safe trip.
