WaPo goes live on the web from Denver
The Washington Post is producing live Web video from the Democratic convention beginning today. The coverage from the convention will be anchored by The Washington Post and Newsweek’s political teams, including Chris Cillizza, Jon Meacham, Michael Isikoff, Howard Kurtz and Dana Milbank. Live broadcasts will be from 4-6 p.m. and 7-11 p.m. ET Monday-Thursday.
This might be one of the first times a newspaper attempts to take on “broadcasting” via the Web. Earlier this year the Post hired Tammy Haddad, formerly of MSNBC, to develop this kind of programming. Viewers will also be able to chat during the show and even ask questions that can be answered in real time.
