Wall Street Journal unlocks gate to walled garden
Speaking of content migrating into the digital stream, I almost missed this story. Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal allowed readers into its walled garden, editorial content.
For some reason it’s accessible through this link –the Opinion Journal side of things. It had this short statement:
We’re rolling out a new destination for the Journal editorial page and OpinionJournal, offering all of our editorials and op-eds, video interviews and commentary. Please enjoy our message of free people and free markets — for free.
One link to the Most Popular Blogs didn’t work from the main page. But columnists like Peggy Noonan, Walter Mossberg etc are all now freely accessible.
This move had been coming, since Rupert Murdock’s group took over Dow Jones and company.
