The Mayor of nice
Sometimes high profile members of the media can be…shall we say…difficult to deal with. Well, I had the opposite experience on Thursday and I thought I’d share.
I did a live radio segment in studio at KMLE Thursday morning with Dave Pratt. It was the first time I had ever worked with “The Morning Mayor” and I honestly don’t listen to him anymore because KMLE is about the last station I’d ever tune into. Admittedly we had an interesting guest — global survival expert Greg Davenport – but regardless of the guest, Pratt was so smooth and so professional. He was genuinely interested in Greg and the interview went really well.
At the end of the segment Pratt asked for my business card and off we went. This morning I received a short thank you e-mail from Pratt. Yes, a member of the media thanked me for bringing him a great guest.
I thought about it for a while and then I realized — that’s why Pratt has been successful for so long. He’s a class act.
