Rocky Mountain Emmy Nominees, Event Details Announced
Last night, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter – all of the broadcast media from producers to anchors to documentarians in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming – announced the nominees for its 2009 Emmy Awards, during a spirited party hosted by Macayo’s Depot Cantina, Senor Rio Tequila, Miller and Dr. Pepper.
Among Arizona’s nominees are several members of 12 News, ABC 15, CBS 5, FOX 10, KTVK TV 3, Univision, Fox Sports Arizona, the Cronkite News Service, NAU TV and the Phoenix Suns Broadcasting Department. For a full list of nominees, please click here.
During the event, NATAS also announced plans for the gala Emmy event, which will be held on Oct. 24 at the Downtown Sheraton. Back by popular demand is last year’s casino theme, where all guests can try their luck at blackjack, craps and roulette to win a number of fabulous prizes.
The Emmy event is still taking sponsorship inquiries, SWAG bag item donations and prizes for the casino winners. For more information, please contact the event committee chair Bob Adlhoch at Badlhoch@suns.com.
