New technology magazine set to launch
There’s good news for folks worried about the shrinking media market in Arizona — there’s a new magazine on the block. MyTekLife will publish its inaugural issue next month and continue quarterly until early 2010 when it hopes to move to monthly. The magazine’s Web site is already up and running.
The magazine and Web site will focus on technology, how it impacts people, as well as the stories behind the technology. It will also feature news and analysis on the latest gadgets and tech solutions.
“I always wanted to start a technology magazine that focuses on people, and how they are impacted by technology,” said Ed Martinez, editor and publisher of MyTekLife. “I always felt that behind each innovation, there is a personal story to be told.”
While Martinez does not have a journalism background, he does have a technology background. He also will be relying on freelance writers and photographers to augment the magazine’s coverage. Martinez says he is looking for advertisers and is also open to pitches from the PR community. He can be reached at editor@myteklife.com.
