MTV tr3s taking off in Phoenix

By Len Gutman on May 15th, 2008 In Media

One of the reasons I love working at coffee shops is that you never know who you’re going to meet. This morning at Starbucks at 16th & Camelback I met Nicole Phillips, Director of Business Development for MTV tr3s (that’s 3 for all us anglophiles).

sucker freeMTV tr3s is a growing broadcast station that is available on most of the state’s cable networks as well as satellite TV outlets. The station bills itself as “a bi-cultural entertainment destination rooted in the fusion of the Latin and American music, cultures and languages, bringing you the biggest names and hits in pop, urban and rock.”

Nicole shared her advertising and promotion video with me and it’s really cool. They have great local advertising and promotional opportunities, all of which can be traditional or multimedia via a combination of broadcast, web and live events.

The station includes shows like Sucker Free Latino, mi TRL, Quiero Mis Quinces, and Pimpeando — all in English and Spanish or some combination. Artists played include a wide variety of Latin and Anglo stars like Christina Aguilera, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira and even Madonna and Avril Lavigne.

If you think the demographic is right for one of your clients, give Nicole a shout out and I’m sure she’d be happy to share their promotional opportunities with you. Perhaps over a latte!

Thanks Len, MTV Tr3s is a mini-monster I’m reaching to get my arms around and I’m loving every minute of it :-)
