‘Major announcement’ from Ankarlo set for 9/9/9 at 9

KTAR Radio host Darrell Ankarlo has been off the air for five months following a terrible car accident. But tomorrow at 9 a.m. on KTAR Ankarlo is set to make what he is calling a major announcement. In a blast e-mail from Ankarlo this afternoon, he writes:

“As most of you know, I was in a real bad car accident five months ago. It severely injured my brain. I’ve spent the last several months working with some of the best experts in the medical field to regain some of the abilities I took for granted every day. The good news is, the hard work has paid off.

Tomorrow morning (Wednesday, Sept. 9th) at 9 a.m. we’re ready to make an announcement that I’ve waited a long time to make on News/Talk 92.3 KTAR. I hope you’ll find a way to be near a radio and listen.”

Love him or hate him…agree or disagree with his opinions…it’s great that Ankarlo is doing well. I wonder what the big announcement is? Any guesses? He’s running for Governor? He’s moving to Mexico?

I hope we get the” real thing” back thurs at 9. What a needed change! Was  I only listened enuf to see who was on then switched stations? Anyone do the same? Good luck DA man!

I hope the announcement is that he’s had time to reflect on a wasted career so far spouting hate, fear and misinformation. Time will tell if he will still be the same ‘ol right-wing nutjob.

So what station is Dave Pratt giving up $100,000 per year KMLE is paying him to return to radio? If not, why’d the Republic give him press recently?

I’ve always said press is like money. Why would Dave Pratt spend it if not looking for a gig?

The big announcement is he’s returning to radio part-time next week. He joked about being on vacation for five months. What a douche.

Since Ankarlo hasn’t talked about himself for 6 months he will undoubtedly devote the next 6 months of radio time to talk about nothing but himself. I’m not listening to the ego.
