every newspaper in arizona will be bankrupt by the end of 2009. they already were losing money, now that the car dealerships will be cutting their advertising to zero as they all go out of business, 20% of the revenues of the newspaper business disappear in the first quarter, then another 10% in the 2nd quarter. the writers could all win pulitzers and the paper will still cease to exist by Q4 '09. good thing the government gave $10 billion taxpayer dollars to goldman sachs so they could pay their executives bonuses, now there'll be someone to feast off the carcass of the newspaper industry.

Agreed. Kudos to Coppola. I thought the announcements re: recent changes were handled very well. The transparency and honest communication is much appreciated.

Mr. Coppola is a solid journalist and has been around the Valley for a very long time. Great to see him get the accolades he deserves.
