Chuck Powell resurfaces on 98.7 The Peak
Morning man Chuck Powell returned to Phoenix airwaves this morning on 98.7 The Peak.
Formerly on The Edge 103.9, Powell’s “Morning Ritual” was for years one of the best locally-produced moring radio programs. Despite a passionate following — especially for regular creative comedy features such as “That Guy” and “Last Character Standing” — the show was dumped in favor of syndicated Adam Carolla in April 2008.

i have missed chuck powell soooo much and was thrilled to hear him this morning on 98.7 fm. that will definitely be my new morning radio show… cuz he is seriously hilarious!

Once I heard that Chuck was on the Peak at 98.7 I changed my pre-sets for my morning drive to work. So GREAT to hear that the valley’s most creative, linguistic, and funny radio personality is back on the air. As they say in the sports lexicon, great pick-up. Spread the word

Chuck, you are the man! I was going through withdrawals for quite awhile during my morning commute when you left your last gig. Welcome back, man! I really enjoyed the “That girl” segment you did the other morning. Coming back and throwing punches. I like it!!!

WOO HOO!!!! I can finally listen to the radio again on the way to work. It has been a long time since I clicked FM on my stereo.

Chuck had the best morning show in the valley. I’m glad to see he’s back. I only hope he will be able to do some of his funniest bits. I know it is hard to balance comedy/talk and music but I miss the hilarious “Last character standing” skits. Maybe webcasts or podcasts or something could be used to help keep everyone happy.

Finally, It’s been a year and your back.
I have missed the show and will be tuning in everyday now that I’ve found your are back. I completely stop listening to that other station. They are sellouts the ruined my morning for a whole year! Bruce St. James is a tool! Glad your back Chuck! Can’t wait until my first morning show!
