The origins of social networking?
Kudos to Coleman for its creative new ad campaign about how it helped invent social networking. This tongue-in-cheek series of print and broadcast ads really got my attention because while it pokes a little fun at the world of social networking there is also just a hint of truth to the ads. Here’s what Coleman says about the campaign:
“At Coleman, we’ve been helping people get together to socialize and connect for as long as we’ve been making lanterns and stoves. All we wanted to do was create gear for camping. We ended up creating some sort of movement. Folks call it, “social networking”. A hundred years ago, we just called it a good time with friends.”
I couldn’t embed the TV spots, but click here to see them along with the fun print ads.
