Sports editor needed for national female sports site

One of my potential clients(one could hope)  is launching a robust site for female sports fans (yes.there are tons of them–fans that is) and needs someone who can function as a full time sports editor for the site, culling stories, managing contributors and setting the editorial tone for what will be a killer brand in this space(I hate “killer app,” and other words like kewl, wassup and dude..”)

With Gannett laying off newsroom people and some of you working with sports people across the country, you must know people, or people or know people.
