MANAGER, PUBLIC RELATIONS

WE ARE:
Moses Anshell – a Downtown Phoenix-based integrated marketing firm, with advertising, interactive, media and public relations all under one roof. Although we are separated into departments, the integration is the key to our success; all disciplines are coordinated, so strategies, messaging and insights are consistent throughout the agency. The atmosphere at Moses Anshell is fast and fun, requiring people who can switch gears at a moment’s notice while still tossing a ball to one of our many office dogs who may interrupt a client meeting. For all this, Moses Anshell is the Business Journal’s reigning “Best Place to Work” in Phoenix.

WE NEED:
A public relations manager with 4+ years experience; this new position will support our team and help create and execute public relations and public affairs strategies for top-tier clients in varying industries.

YOU POSSESS:
- A solid background in traditional public relations (former – or soon to be former – journalists welcome).
- Good local media contacts and the desire to place national stories
- Strong writing and pitching skills
- Creativity and the ability to utilize it within a strategic framework
- Familiarity with non-traditional, social media and grass roots PR techniques
- A lot of knowledge about little things and a little knowledge about a lot of things
- A bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communication or closely related field

YOU WILL:
- Develop and see plans through from concept to execution and completion
- Pitch stories to the media, securing positive placements
- Use your strong writing skills to write and edit, using AP Style often, but can adapt when needed
- Have friendly relationships with clients, commanding respect and a passion for the discipline of public relations
- Pursue creative means to spread the word about Moses Anshell and our clients
- Have good ideas and share them, even when they are not directly related to PR
- Have fun

- Incredibly smart, but not in a way that makes you want to explain quantum physics to us. We get it already!
- A consummate team player
- Able to use your strong presentation skills to communicate the values and strategies of PR plans
- Personable and able to build lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, media and vendors

- In sound strategy. It’s not about reaching the most people, it’s about reaching the right people
