We are seeking to hire an experienced Director of Public Relations. This individual should possess the ability to develop and implement the company’s overall strategic public relations program.
If you are a Director of Public Relations with Construction industry experience, please read on!
What you need for this position!
- 5 years experience minimum
-Basic understanding of the construction industry and “green” construction trends
-The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, articulate clearly both the written and spoken word and able to understand a variety of people.
-This candidate should be confident, quick thinking and a good organizer.
-Ability to work some weekends or travel when needed
-Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or Communication
What you’ll be doing!
-Develop and implement the company’s overall strategic public relations program which include media relations, community relations, internal communications, and social media.
-Speak and convey a message or idea in the presence of a large audience.
-Write press releases, newsletters, social media communications, and communicate with the media.
-Coordinate CEO’s schedule for public appearances and media communications.
-Determine and create appropriate content for media kits.
-Bring creative concepts to light, and persuade others to follow.
-Command an understanding of social media, functionality, and limitations.
-Publicize communication media tools and encourage participation at all levels.
-Provide PR coaching to CEO and executive staff to ensure consistency and accuracy of company message.
