Sheriff Joe’s media machine
I like how the media struggle to sum up Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Seems like calling him “toughest sheriff” isn’t enough. In yesterday’s Q and A by Joe Garcia in The Arizona Republic, there were phrases like “lightening rod” and “powder keg” thrown in. Even his odd reference to Frank Sinatra.
You got to admit, Joe gives the best sound bites. He is a one-man media machine. He knows what the media (from The New Times, to The New York Times) is after, and delivers.

I have a great way to sum up Sheriff Joe — arrogant racist asshole.

Why is it that when someone wants to make individuals accountable they are called a “racist”. Illegal is illegal! It doesn’t matter whether you are purple, pink or brown. Sherrif Joe is upholding the law and the individuals that have broken the law are not taking responsibility for their wrong doing. They are screaming racism. What a joke!
