By on May 22nd, 2008 In Agencies

Moses Anshell's spiffy logoChris Fiscus, a 20-year veteran of the Arizona Republic and the old Phoenix Gazette, will join Moses Anshell next week as director of public relations.

He most recently was the Republic’s Page One editor, where he led content planning, graphics, photography, design and Sunday packages. As a reporter, he covered the Arizona Legislature, Phoenix City Hall, public safety, growth & development, and business. Among his reporting highlights was a 10-day trip to Kosovo shadowing a family of returning refugees.

Fiscus joins a cadre of other former Republic journalists at the integrated firm, including senior PR managers Dave Cieslak and Chip Scutari, and VP and Creative Director, David Leibowitz.

Fiscus will be in charge of all public relations efforts for clients including the Arizona Office of Tourism, The Nature Conservancy, Arizona Association of Realtors, World Wildlife Fund, TASER International, Peter Piper Pizza and the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Boy it sure seems like Moses Anshell’s clients will have a stranglehold on the Republic. Relationships are great but isn’t there more media here than the Republic?

Just a point of clarity… Chris was part of a page one team that consists of two editors. The other editor is Josh Susong. They are two of the finest editors I’ve worked with.

So, the A1 team is staffed with two editors, two designers, two copyeditors and a news artist (Me).

And if industry continues as it is I’m sure other firms could secure Republic relationships.
