PR pros Scutari, Cieslak set up own shop

Former Moses Anshell and Arizona Republic staffers Chip Scutari and Dave Cieslak have launched a new public relations firm. Scutari & Cieslak Public Relations has opened for business and will provide clients with public relations, communications coaching, crisis communications, and political campaign counsel.
Here is some fodder from their official bios:
Chip brings a deep expertise of politics and a reporter’s instinct to the public relations and communications coaching world. For 15 years, he worked on the journalistic front lines covering Arizona’s most powerful politicians and influential business leaders. He then became senior manager of media and client relations at Moses Anshell, one of Phoenix’s largest advertising agencies, where he coached politicians, business leaders and non-profit organizations. He has a B.A. from Providence College in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University.
Formerly an award-winning reporter for the Arizona Republic and Tucson Citizen, Dave has brought his journalism skills and in-depth political knowledge to the public relations field. Dave’s coverage of our state’s biggest stories filled his BlackBerry with contacts in politics, business, justice and education — and clients say his connections inside national and Arizona media outlets are invaluable. Dave began his PR career as the spokesman for the City of Scottsdale Fire Department. He most recently served as the Arizona communications director for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, and was senior manager of public relations at Moses Anshell, one of the city’s largest advertising agencies. Dave has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Arizona.
Given their political differences, this just might be the Arizona equivalent of Carville and Matalin without the nuptials. And thank you for not naming your firm “Chip and Dave PR.”
Seriously, good luck guys. Welcome to the fray. Watch out for Leibo!
