OFF MADISON AVE GROWS WITH FIVE NEW HIRES
Off Madison Ave has announced the addition of five new specialists to its growing staff. The new hires include Susan Baier, deputy director of media, marketing and strategy; Paul Peterson, public relations account supervisor; Juan Lesmes, interactive coordinator; Shannon Pagels, public relations account coordinator; and Alison Thor, account coordinator for Mighty Interactive, the Internet marketing division of Off Madison Ave.
Baier is the addition to the firm’s recently restructured Media, Marketing and Strategy Group and brings more than 20 years of experience in product and brand management, marketing and business development with small firms and Fortune 500 companies. She earned her MBA in entrepreneurship and marketing at the University of Arizona. She was a brand manager at the Dial Corporation and Circle K stores before starting her own consulting business in 2004. She will advise numerous clients in strategic planning, consumer research and multichannel marketing initiatives.
Peterson rejoins the Off Madison Ave Public Relations Group after serving as the public information officer for the Phoenix Convention Center for the past year. He has eight years of public relations experience in Phoenix and previously worked with the firm from 2004 to 2006. Last year, he was named a finalist for the leading industry publication PR News National Account Manager of the Year award. He will work with clients including the Phoenix Art Museum, Nike, Esterra Development and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Peterson is a graduate of Northern Arizona University.
Lesmes joins the Interactive Marketing Group as a coordinator after relocating from Washington, D.C. A graduate of the University of Arizona, he previously worked at The Gallup Organization where he was part of its management consulting practice as a marketing specialist. Lesmes will work with the firm’s new Media, Marketing and Strategy Group on accounts such as Tulocay & Co., Pinnacle Development Group, Arizona Clean Elections Campaign and others.
Pagels joins the Public Relations Group as an account coordinator after recently graduating from Arizona State University, where she majored in journalism and mass communications. She completed public relations internships with Denise Resnik & Associates and the Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau, and served as the president of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) at Arizona State. She will assist on a variety of accounts, including Phoenix Art Museum, Weil Lifestyle and Southwest Human Development.
Thor, a recent graduate of Drake University (Des Moines, Iowa), becomes the newest member of the firm’s Interactive Marketing Group as an online and traditional media coordinator. She previously worked with the Meredith Corporation where she assisted in Web site development for special interest publications. She will work with the agency’s media buying group on numerous accounts, such as DMB, Vestar, Fascinations, LochenHeath and the City of Glendale.
