McMurry starts new year with new web site

The folks over at McMurry have launched a new web site and I like to give credit where credit is due: nice work. The new site is really clean and attractive and incorporates technology very effectively.

From the press release: “The site includes in-depth multimedia portfolios that showcase the firm’s custom media, interactive and advertising services and an enhanced “About Us” area that includes social media links, printable materials and McMurry-produced videos representing the company’s award-winning culture. Also, a “Logo Hall of Fame” exhibits staff member logos and the unique stories behind each creation.”

The “Logo Hall of Fame” is a really cool idea and speaks to the culture at McMurry. The company has been the recipient of many “best places to work” awards over the years. Giving employees the opportunity to customize the company’s logo is very unique.

I also like the quote in the release from COO/CFO Audra Taylor. I hate when companies hype their new stuff as if it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Taylor is straightforward and appropriate:

“Most people in today’s world check out a business online first. Then they make those critical first-impression decisions. Our goal with the new mcmurry.com is simple. We want visitors to think, ‘Wow, I like this company, and I want to learn more.’ ”
